The CMS cross country team hosted St. Mary's of Greensburg on Thursday 8/28. The slow and hilly home course provided a challenging venue for both teams. The boys had a great home course christening, with a 25 to 30 victory. Masyn Welter led the attack in first (11:08) followed by Leo Moyer 2nd (11:19) and Desmond Shipman 3rd (11:25), with the big 3 securing the home victory. They were supported by Alexander Streuwing in 9th (13:57) and Noah Rees 10th (14:13). Hunter Gregory was 13th with a personal best time of (14:59), Connor Evans 13th with a PR of (15:26), Landon Bales 16th (16:14), Boyd Durstine 17th with his PR of (16:53), Aiden Carr 18th (18:51) and Nathais Rude 19th (19:35) The girls fell to the good visiting team 78-17. Cree Slater led the team in 4th followed by Riley Smith 17th (18:44), Jayce Reeve 18th (20:45), Jaylynn Parsons 19th 20:54), and Kayra Bransetter 20th (24:49). The team travels on Tuesday 9/2 to Richmond's Glen Miller park to take on Seton Catholic and the host Red Devils.
