The team traveled to Lynn Indiana on Saturday 9/12. The team brightened a damp day with some of their best racing of the season. 7 of the 10 runners participating ran personal best times. The girls ran as an incomplete team. Cree Slater led the team in 31st with a season best time of 14:27. Riley Smith was 59th (15:41) and Leanna Paul finished 105th (18:42). There were 140 total runners. The boys were short handed, competing without their number one runner. Coach Gibbs challenged the team to compete and the boys responded with their best performance of the year. They ran to a surprising 3rd place finish out of 26 teams! Desmond Shipman led the team with an outstanding 3rd place finish in the field of 200 athletes in 11:29. Clay Glover placed 12th (12:05), Noah Frost 21st (12:24), Boyd Durstine 46th (13:00), and Landon Bales 58th (13:11) rounded out the scoring. Hunter Gregory was 76th (13:38), Ryan Owens 92nd (14:00), and Andrew Biehl 144th (16:18). The team has two home meets this week, hosting Waldron on Tuesday 9/15 and New Castle and Centerville on Thursday 9/17.
