The Spartans traveled to Greensburg on Thursday and came away with a 3-2 victory. The boys battled through adversity and found a way to win. Sometimes you don't have your best stuff, but competition is about finding a way to win. #1 singles Anthony Struewing had a great outing and dominated from start to finish with his most complete match of the season. #2 singles Jay McMullen continued his hot play with a convincing win over a big hitting opponent. #3 singles Abel Parsley battled after losing the first set and pushed his match to a 3rd set. He came up short, but continues to give himself opportunities to win. #1 doubles Evan Miller/ Grady Simpkins won a tight match and came up with big points when they needed it. It wasn't their best match, but they showed the importance of battle tested seniors. #2 doubles Angelo Amora/ Eli Laughlin lost a back and forth first set and just couldn't find the points needed to turn the second set into a win. They have competed well and look to continue growing on the court as partners. We are now 8-1 on the season and 4-0 in conference. 1 singles Anthony Struewing won 6-0, 6-1 2 singles Jay McMullen won 6-1, 6-4 3 singles Abel Parsley lost 4-6, 6-4, (5-10) 1 doubles Evan Miller/Grady Simpkins won 7-5, 6-3 2 doubles Angelo Amora/ Eli Laughlin lost 4-6, 1-6 JV Justin Kitchen won 6-1 Owen Jones won 6-0 Caigan Gettinger/Hayden McGuire 4-6 Wyatt Gray won 6-4
