On Thursday, May 21st, the Connersville High School Boys track and field team hosted IHSSA Sectional 24. Out of 15 schools participating, the Spartans placed 5th with a score of 44.25 points. Top finishers for the boys were Andrew Miracle, 4th in 110 hurdles and high jump, Finn Smith, 8th in 110 hurdles and pole vault, Kingston O'Toole, 3rd in the 100, Landan Moore, 5th in the 400, Bronson Lykins, 5th in the 300 hurdles, Hunter Carpenter, 8th in high jump, Arthur Struewing, 7th in pole vault, Trenton Belt, 4th in discus and 8th in shot put, Noah Roosa, 5th in discus, the 4x800m relay team of Eric Evans, Axle Pflum, Layne Shook, and Hunter Bales placed 5th, and the 4x100m relay team of O'Toole, Lykins, Kooper Montgomery, and Jonny Ropp placed 7th. The Spartans are next in action at the Greenfield-Central Regional meet on Thursday, May 28th where Kingston O'Toole and the 4x800m relay team qualified to participate. Events start at 6:00 PM.
