The Boys Spartan Golf team were within 3-strokes of the school record Thursday evening, scoring a season-low 150 and defeating East Central, Lawrenceburg, and South Dearborn in a 4-way match at the Links at Rising Star Casino course. Trey Hughes led the way with a season-low 34, one off his PR. Logan Young recorded a career-best 36, and he was closely followed by another career-best from Aiden Gibbs with a round of 37. Talon Sherwood (43) and a career-best (44) from Levi Marszalek completed the Spartan scoring. The boys really came to play tonight! I could not be more proud of them. Three PR's tonight were amazing. We have been waiting for all of them to click on the same night and knew we would challenge the school record if we did. All 5 boys not only played well tonight, but they played smart, and that was the difference in our score. The Spartans will compete in the EIAC tournament on Saturday, with the match beginning at 2:00.
