On Tuesday, April 21st, the Boys Track and Field team hosted New Castle and Greensburg. Even though the team has been battling injuries, they were able to rally together with the last event of the night, the 4x400m relay, to win with a total of 62 points. Greensburg came in 2nd with 55 and New Castle had 49. Top finishers for the Spartans were Kingston O'Toole, 1st in the 100, Michael Mason, 3rd in the 400, Layne Shook, 2nd in the 800, Eric Evans, 3rd in the 800, Andrew Miracle, 1st in the 110 hurdles and 2nd in high jump, Finn Smith, 2nd in the 110 hurdles and pole vault, Bronson Lykins, 1st in the 300 hurdles, Karsen Houghland, 3rd in the 300 hurdles, Zeke Caylor, 2nd in the discus, and Lakin Lakes, 2nd in long jump. All three relay teams placed 1st for a clean sweep: the 4x100m relay team included Lakes, O'Toole, Carson Moore, and Aydan Seibers, the 4x400m relay team included Evans, Shook, Mason, and O'Toole, and the 4x800m relay team included Shook, Axle Pflum, Hunter Bales, and Evans. The team is next in action at Eaton's Dean Stolz Invitational on Saturday morning at 9:00 am.
