On Friday, April 17th, the Connersville High School boys track and field team competed at the Bill Self Invitational at Franklin Community High School. The Spartans scored 32 points, putting them in 8th place. Arthur Struewing won the Bill Self Service Award for outstanding commitment to his community through service and was recognized during the meet. Top finishers for the Spartans were Landan Moore, 9th in the 400, Eric Evans, 8th in the 800, Hunter Bales, 8th in the 1600 and 10th in the 3200, Finn Smith, 5th in the 110 hurdles, Bronson Lykins, 7th in the 300 hurdles, Zeke Caylor, 3rd in shot put and 8th in discus, Andrew Miracle, 4th in high jump, Lakin Lakes, 7th in long jump, Arthur Struewing, 1st in pole vault, the 4x100 relay team of Lakes, Montgomery, Lykins, and Aydan Seibers placed 7th, and the 4x800 relay of Struewing, Axle Pflum, Evans, and Bales also placed 7th. The team is back in action on Tuesday, April 21st at home against Greensburg and New Castle.
