The Connersville Girls Track and Field narrowly beat Centerville on Thursday, April 9th with a score of 68 to 64. Top finishers for the Lady Spartans were Chelsea Carpenter, 1st in the 100, Allenah Miller, 3rd in the 100 and 2nd in the 200 and pole vault (tie), Jazmine Bond, 2nd in the 400, Hylee Slater, 1st in the 800 and 3rd in the 1600, Gabbie Higbie, 3rd in the 800, Chloe Keal, 1st in the 1600 and 3200, Zoey Chomel, 2nd in the 100 hurdles and high jump, Kiayah McKinney, 3rd in the 100 hurdles and high jump, and 2nd in the 300 hurdles, Alexis Freese, 3rd in the 300 hurdles and long jump, Hannah Ropp, 1st in pole vault, Liv Neuberg, 2nd in pole vault (tie), Bri Adkins, 1st in shot put and 2nd in discus, Stella Holmes, 2nd in shot put, Emily Bischoff, 3rd in shot put, and the 4x100 relay team of McKinney, Evie Haldeman, Carpenter, and Miller placed 1st. The team is next in action on Tuesday, April 14th at home against Rushville and New Palestine.
