The Lady Spartans were back in action last night to take on New Castle middle. Coming off last nights loss the girls played a much better game and after the first quarter found themselves down by only 1 point with the score of 6-5. The Spartans went scoreless in the second quarter and New Castle went on an 8-0 run and led at halftime 14-6. Third quarter we traded baskets, with both teams scoring 6 points which left us still down after the quarter 20-11. They held us scoreless in the fourth quarter and took the victory with a final score of 26-11. Leading the way in scoring was Kastin Van Meter with 6 point 6 rebounds and 4 blocked shots, followed by Kyra Brastetter with 3 points and 1 steal and Elli Bentley with 2 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assist. Girls played hard to the end and I see so much improvement in everyone on the team. Lady Spartans are back in action tonight against South Dearborn Middle at home. First game starts at 5:30
