Last night your 8th grade lady spartan girls were in action in Northeastern. The girls were very resilient while being under manned. After the 1st the girls took an outstanding 11-2 lead with great shooting from behind the arc. The second quarter was much of the same, with a score of 16-9 at the halftime break! The Lady Spartans jumped out of halftime firing shots left and right from every area on the floor, great ball movement helped tremendously. Northeastern fought back but couldn't stop the lady spartans offense, scoring 15 and 14 points respectively. The score after the third quarter, 30 to 24 Lady Spartans still up. The 4th quarter was hard fought and a battle to the end! The Lady Spartans came out victorious with the leading scorers being Caroline Roberts with 12, Blakelynn Branstetter with 10, Jeanah Miller with 10 and Elli Bentley with 4 points! The Lady Spartans are back in action Tuesday night against New Castle.
